This is Nile Creek on Vancouver Island. It needs more water in it so the salmon can make it up to spawn.
I'm in a b/w mood with the much needed rain.
Hope every body take it serious "Global Warming". Otherwise every body shall turn B&W, in no time.

This is an exceptional beautifully composed and crafted photograph Sandy. The positioning of the two wooden chairs is somewhat inspirational, whilst the mono works its magic so very well.
It does seem low-- a bad year for salmon me thinks--- nice conversion!
That's a great photo; and it expresses your feelings quite well. The whole continent (even down here on the Texas gulf coast) is in need of rain. For the sake of the salmon, and all of us, I Pray we get some soon. Love & Peace.....Duck
A wonderful composition, Sandy, love the curve of the creek, and the birds in the distance. We had a little rain and a thunderstorm a week ago, the only rain we have seen here for the past 5 months. Carol
Sandy, this is a nice, gritty B&W -- although sad to hear that there is not enough water to support the salmon spawning.
Beautiful photo and mono suits it well -rain or no rain Well done
Super image, great composition ,textures and tones.
Looks stark and barren. Well suited to mono, Sandy.
Those two empty picnic chairs, looking out over such a bleak landscape - brilliant!
Beautiful mono image Sandy; those two chairs really make it.
good tones and light Sandy hope the water rises
This probably won't mean anything to you, Sandy, but the title mead me think of the 'Carry on up The Nile' film from the famous Carry On series...and chairs of the joke by Morecombe & Wise about two old men sitting in deck-chairs...you could try googling them
I guess the birds are attracted by the prospect of salmon for dinner.
Great lead in line there Sandy. Like the B&W treatment. Really suits the range of tones. paul
great composition with the two empty chairs looking at the panorama
When I first this and the title, I thought this doesn't look like the Nile that I've sailed on! I don't know what it would look like in colour, but this mono version works very well, great composition and capture, Sandy
The mono brings out the textures of the stones really well Sandy.
Plenty of rain over here, Sandy! Hope you get some soon. In the meantime an atmospheric mono with those empty loungers over the bank.
Very nicely done Sandy.
An excellent mono Sandy!
A lovely, strong capture with great composition.
I hope things improve in time for the Salmon.
