This is Nile Creek on Vancouver Island. It needs more water in it so the salmon can make it up to spawn.
I'm in a b/w mood with the much needed rain.

This is an exceptional beautifully composed and crafted photograph Sandy. The positioning of the two wooden chairs is somewhat inspirational, whilst the mono works its magic so very well.

That's a great photo; and it expresses your feelings quite well. The whole continent (even down here on the Texas gulf coast) is in need of rain. For the sake of the salmon, and all of us, I Pray we get some soon. Love & Peace.....Duck

A wonderful composition, Sandy, love the curve of the creek, and the birds in the distance. We had a little rain and a thunderstorm a week ago, the only rain we have seen here for the past 5 months. Carol

This probably won't mean anything to you, Sandy, but the title mead me think of the 'Carry on up The Nile' film from the famous Carry On series...and chairs of the joke by Morecombe & Wise about two old men sitting in deck-chairs...you could try googling themSmile
I guess the birds are attracted by the prospect of salmon for dinner.

When I first this and the title, I thought this doesn't look like the Nile that I've sailed on! Wink I don't know what it would look like in colour, but this mono version works very well, great composition and capture, Sandy
