In general I'm not a fan of waterfall images, but this one has something special. I love the whirlpool in the centre and the light on the greens works really well.
Ann
BTW - how do you pronounce Sgwd Ddwli! There aren't enough vowels for my liking! ![]()
thank you Matt, Mark and Ann, i think its pronounced like "skud dow li," i was raised on the east side of wales and never had the oppertunity to be taught the welsh language, my old town was llanhilleth ( clan ith leth ) and brynithel, great names to get your tongue around. cheers for the comments.
ant.
Stunning composed capture Ant, long walk to get this.
Regards
Trev.
Quite dark down there, Ant, but the white water raises the light levels nicely. Some lovely shapes in the water.
Dave
You have captured a beautiful atmosphere here, the water is the highlight of the image, with all of its contours and swirls, and there is the warmth of the reddish colour revealed beneath its surface too.
Cracking shot mate......The water is spot on and the whirlpool just makes the image![]()
Chris.
Ant, great comp, lovely tones and colour.............great water flow.
Paul.
Excellent image Ant. I've photographed these falls many times and this is a lovely comp. Like the vortex.
Alun
An idyllic scene Ant, the waterfalls in your part of the world take some beating, I wonder if the ones at Lower Ddwli are just as spectacular
