Treated myself to a new Nikon D800 and 24-70 lens. Can't wait to get out with it to play around longer .This is one from earlier this week with it very briefly . Many thanks for recent clicks and comments. All very much appreciated...Phil

It's a strong comp Phil, the light is somewhat flat however and I think you may find much more impact in mono, given how texture abounds?

The wall and arc of trees make a great shape to the composition, Phil. A fine start with that camera.

I had to hurry out earlier...
I'm furiously jealous. Although I'd be quite happy with a D600 and that lens if Santa is listening...
Impressive result.

A wonderfully composed photograph Phil, from the off its all about curves, which are beautifully exaggerated by the small copse in the middle ground.

A 'gem' of an image. I love the way that we are led through it by the wall and the path.
