A block of flats at the intersection between Argyle St. and Sauchiehall St. in Glasgow. These "Scandinavian" style flats are appearing all over the city, and look rather incongruous next to some of the old tenements. It was the contrast between the rich blue sky and sandy colour of the building that caught my eye.
The weather is wet, cold and windy now, but taken only a few weeks ago - this shot captured a beautiful Autumn day.
I hope you like it. Comments and advice welcome as always. Thank you.

Hi Ken,
Great angle and the shadows and light is superb as you say an Autumn day.I love the architure and angles but not so the newness when i look around and see the beautiful old buildings in the city.
The new ones get so clatty easily like the lines that appear like soot that's ran down the wall after a downpour.
But that being said that's just personal choice, new will be along with the old, they have knocked down a whole scheme nearly at my bit, ptah, gone, the laugh,to put up more houses apparantly.
Your work is excellent as usual, love both shots,it was the second that made me notice the dirt marks and how they appear so quickly as it's closer up...........lol![]()
take care,Ann![]()
Many thanks Ann.
I was lucky to get that shot. It was a cold and crisp day. I always liked the architecture of the building. I'm glad you like it, and am grateful for your generous comments.
Take care,
Ken
