This is an image from a great shoot I had yesterday for my Uni Fashion Portfolio project - trying to see what could be done with UV lighting in a fashion style, I really wanted to try something different and after a lot of research turns out this sort of lighting is extremely difficult to get right! C&C always welcome - if anyone has any pointers on how I could make these images please let me know!

Nice Work

I remember years ago in the film day having to do a cover album photo for a Madness tribute band. They wanted a photo of all the band on stage taken under UV.
But with smoke around there ankle's and coming out of the Saxophone. It was a very hard shot to get right and we tried a lot of different conbanations of UV and Normal lights both with and without gels.

We could only go by the Polaroid samples back then and nothing looked quit right. Either to dark & purple not to be rude but like in your shot, which as not what we wanted or to pink and light.

Luckily I had a few rolls of Tungsten balanced film, so we tried that. The results where amazing straight out of camera & they used one for the cover. But I then played in the darkroom and cross processed it. The result was almost lumen-us color.

A result of time and trail & errorGrin
