Nice shot. My only slight criticism would be that it would have been better if you could have caught the passerby just before he reached the stool and the window with the posters. Easy to be an armchair critic!
A very colourful shot. Timing of the passerby was likely not something you were considering at the time, - but a good idea for next time!
Its so colourful that it benefits quite a bit with a curves/levels adjustment, and added contrast to make it "pop" as in the mod.
Contrast essentially means that blacks are black and whites are white.
To give the impression the passerby is less central, you could crop it a little shorther, and add some space to the left. You can do this by increasing the canvas size on the left and copying in the background, - or if you have CS4, you can use the content aware tool to drag the background, which is what I have done.
Hope this is helpful,
Hello thank you for your feedback I only have the basic photo shop that came with the computer.
thanks for looking and taking the time to review and leave feedback
hi steven, you managed to keep the shot very level as im guessing it was hand held, looks like you were interested in the colour and texture of the shop signes mostly.its almost two pictures in one (top half..bottom half) adds to the apeal. mod:slight crop to keep an even strip of cream b/left and t/right,little of the foreground cropped. have adjusted shirt and ruck sack on passer by to balance the picure colour wise (lasoo then adjust colour hue)
hope this is constructive
I like what you have done by changing the colour of the shirt and ruck sack on the passer by.
I like it - good street photography. it could possibly be a bit brighter - a slight lift in contrast.
interesting shot but i find the tall thin format a little difficult with this particular image. it is a difficult composition even though its full of interest.
in some ways its about the person moving across the image and yet at the same all the layers take the eye upwards with different things to enjoy on each level.
with that in mind id make a crop off the plain grey base and a little off the top from just above the green window frames, i like the bands of lettering and the two upper windows with white curtain drapes.
id just tweak the levels or add a shallow curve to bring out the full range of tones and add a little saturation even though it may have been slightly dusty and dull in reality.
the figure is probably slightly too far in towards centre and would have been compositionally better further to the right.
intersting street shot though and quite well framed.
To the people who have viewed this photo I thank you
