Having spent all summer and autumn trying to capture a red admiral on camera, I had given up the ghost of ever succeeding. However, yesterday I had a stroke of luck, and found this beautiful butterfly to be a very willing model. She even allowed me to put my hand near her, at which she climbed onto my finger, to say I was amazed is putting it lightly!

She really is a true beauty.
Fabulous captures
And what lovely colouring she has
V1 has a lovely, gentle, draped look. All such insect life disappeared here long ago...
