Vanitas, a reminder that we are not immortal, the things that we surround ourselves with will outlive us...our vanitas...a portrait of a life.

Yes, the things will outlive us, and a lot of the things we collect over the years will mean nothing to others after we pass. Having recently gone through an entire household of my mother-in-law's immense collection of things, I have come to realize that our "stuff" is mostly important to us, and others will probably throw out a lot of it after we are gone.

A really interesting and telling upload. The upturned eyes here tell of this woman reminiscing of something in her past.

I rather like this Smile

Anne

Very nice. Not sure if it is a portrait or a still life. It combines the best of both. A truly memorable image. ....Peter

A collection of her possessions which provide her with favourite memories, including the outfit she is wearing.
A telling image, reminding us of our vulnerability to the inevitable march of time.

A GEA is deserved, I feel.Smile
