She is a young creative girl from Monterrey, Mexico. The photo was taken at my friends gallery. It was a very spontaneous moment.
Her intense look certainly speaks of itself that she is a girl with character and dares to be different.

Really like this portrait. Great tight composition with the hair framing her pretty face and the intense eyes that almost feel like they are looking deep into the viewers soul. Brave choice to go so shallow on the dof for a portrait and you can see how quickly the plane of focus falls away. Unless it was the lighting level that drove you to such a wide aperture.
I like the graininess and mono conversion too as it adds to the feel and intensity of the subject.

Thanks for the comments and the vote. I chose the shallow depth of field to put emphasis on the eyes. The 50mm lens in particular has a nice bokeh, so you can get quite creative with it.
