One of the entrances to Royal Victoria Park in Bath, these gates are not the original Victorian ones. The original iron ones were removed and used during the Second World War and these replaced them sometime after the war had ended and the park was restored to its former glory. The archway and tree are the same ones that were featured in the upload entitled "Autumn Walkers" two days ago.

Stunning colour on the tree Ed, beautiful exposure also.

Trev.
Glorious statement of colour. The leaves will be gone by now, I guess...

I like the combination of the gates and that glorious golden coloured tree.
I recognized the tree before reading your description Ed, it has an unmistakeable majesty. As to Kate's remark, unfortunately most of the gates, railings, etc., that were removed, were never used during the war, at least that's what I read much later, a real shame and disgrace!
Rgds., Jim
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
