Ca Mau is the is the capital of Ca Mau Province in the Mekong Delta. It is the southernmost city of mainland Vietnam. The population is over 205,000.
Like many cities in Vietnam, Ca Mau is growing fast. Concrete buildings are replacing shacks. V1 shows modern Ca Mau while V2 is all about the corrugated roofs and flimsy structures.
The city is characterized by its system of transport canals. Most goods are transported here by boats and barges of all sizes. The little boat with two figures wearing conical hats, is a “water taxi”.
