Thank you all for all your votes, comments and advice on my recent birds images.
I was pleasantly surprised by the response and a couple of them stood out votes wise
which makes me think they were better than I thought. Some didn't score so well
which suggests there is some discretion over votes despite having connections - which
is a good thing. We want honest opinions if we are to improve.
Today's image is from the boat where the images were taken from.
We were on the Murray River over by Mandurah.
Many thanks also to Eric the Viking for his valued User Award. Eric makes very useful
comments on images so I value his award.

How did you manage to take this image, Kate?
You must have had a glass of wine in one hand!Smile
Thoughtful composition to include the front of the boat to give a real sense of 'being there' to the viewer.
What a wonderful photographers' sky.

Richard said that for me. A lovely image with good water textures and reflections of that lovely sky, we become part of the image by being on the boat.

Looks like an image straight out of "The African Queen" ... was the boat engine making a chugging sound behind you?

Lovely vision of peace and tranquility.

Great point of view, Kate! I love the cloud formations and the reflections on the surface of the river's waters !
I would suggest you to crop the downside of the picture in order to cut the boat body, I think it would look even better!Smile

George

We saw the boat that you took this from, didn’t we Kate, WesternRed and I.
It is a lovely evening capture with the shadows, refections and clouds.
I can’t see the reasoning in commenting that you might have been on the drink to take it.
How thoughtless…….Its a good one and I love it…….WinkWinkWink
