Not sure if this picture has improved but the light was different and I thought that much was better it brought out the poppies more vividly IMO - dare not think what they are like this morning after high winds here last night. I found a lower pov was good but god I hurt this morning and if my feet got tangled up in the stems of the daisies I was in danger of falling as best of times I am not steady on my feet, I did try and walk where others had before me, I didnt want to upset the farmer.
Many thanks for all c/c's on my previous poppy upload that one is still my favourite, I am most grateful to you for calling by.
What was V3 is now V2 I changed them around ![]()

Very different today Ann - I like how you have isolated a group of white flowers here - makes a greater contrast with the poppies. The lower eye level works really well - hope your back soon recovers ![]()

V3 is my choice Ann, I like the composition and how you managed the crop. A grand sight when you found this, the heart would be busy keeping up I'm sure.

this is now referring to V2 not 3 as I changed the order
and darkened the sky in what was V2 and is now V3 - confused? not surprising
it happens to me all the time![]()
thanks everybody
I'm enjoying this series, and the way you are exploring the subject. I still cannot decide whether I want the horizon or not. Here I think I'm torn between V2 ( a denser band of soft reds at the top of the frame in lieu of horizon) and V4 (stronger foreground, contrasting soft dark greens at the top). V4 is stronger, I like the way the foreground flowers, and a few softer more distant buds, rise above the green 'horizon'; but the rape flowers intruding on the left are a distraction. I think I'd consider a square crop, concentrating on those four dominant flowers.

I will not chose one over the other, would love to have any one of these hanging on my wall in the lounge.

Trev.

PS--- I recently bought a folding camp stool-- light enough to haul along and quite low when oepned-- use it for comfortable low level image shooting!
Poppies - and I thought I would be one of the first! These are lovely, Ann. All excellent but 1,4 3 2 for me.
Alun
Well, it was worth getting attacked by the daisies, Ann, to get these beautiful shots
Like the low angle, gives the feeling they go on forever. All very lovely, but think V4's my fave ![]()
What a fabulous place to be and take pictures! Love them all,
JOhanna
All four are beautiful. Lovely to see so many in the fields. Very well captured.
Steve.
A beautiful set of summer landscapes Ann, each one deserves an upload in its own right. The colours and compositions are lovely
