This was a shot from a coaching session with Paul Park My Ferret
A great day, which I could recommend highly.
I think the model looks a bit vulnerable and uncomfortable. But this makes it a little bit different, which I quite like.
All C&C would be appreciated.

Agree - I did a studio day with Paul some time ago and very worthwhile - thanks Paul.

Like this - the contrasts are good as are the pose and light. My only niggle would be the bright area of background just distracts me a little from the model and perhaps the square of sky in the top left. But other than that very nice.

Hi Neal
I think you are right, the bright areas are too strong. Thats as it was,and I like the way the yellow in the laces is picked up in the background. However its the model we should be looking at. I think this background is just too busy, I shouldnt have been swayed by the nice colours.

I like the background although I would darken the shadow areas of it to emphasize the sun light.
The worst thing for me is the unflattering pose and lack of eye contact, she looks like she is between shots for another photographer to your right.
Great dress though!

Hi Gupter
Its the unflattering pose and lack of eye contact that make it a bit different. She's got the rubber latex dress but hasn't got the confidence to carry it off. But I take your point.

there's something that catches my eye....it's very glamourous but not in an obvious way

thanks for coming on the course ...
I love the shot - I think the lack of eye contact is probably more editorial that 'portrait' and the same goes for the background too, but thats a good thing.

... my only niggle would be her legs - their position is not quite right, and they are a little pale - but thats her fault, not yours!
Overall I think it's a great shot - but I like the other one you sent earlier more I think
regards
Paul

Having been on one of Paul's courses I can vouch for how good they are, you get a lot out of them and some great images too.

I agree that the background is a bit bright, but otherwise I think it works well.

Yes, the position of her legs looks a little awkward, but that is consistent with the tension in her hands and shoulders, the slightly anxious expression and the fact that she is looking round. It creates the impression that she is waiting for someone and feels a bit vulnerable there on her own. Click.

I find the background ok as I'm finding strong focus on the model due to the selected aperture. She jumps right out and grabs your attention.

thats a fetish high fashion dress its a shame you didnt capture the shine of the latex more and showed it off as it would have cost hundreds, also i have never known a fetish girl to be vunerable wearing a dress like that! its a lovely picture but all the wrong elements for my taste
