They had a Battle of Britain village at RIAT 2010 and many people were in original dress (including my wife and friends of hers), this was enhanced by the presence of Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft as well as a German contingent!

Quote: The elements for a superb shot are here, but he is looking out of the picture. As seen, he image is a very tight crop to pilot, Hurri cockpit and RAF flag - as presented it's too much one ded.

Hi Paul, this was the only angle I could shoot it from to avoid a distracting background that would have shown the modern era - the tight crop was also required in order to hide modern distractions!
Ideal would have been face on to pilot with clear background but it was an Airshow with 1000's of people and other distracting elements so had to make the best of a challenge!
