Back to the 1940 weekend at the North Yorks Railway, and this little lady who turned out to be a real star.
Just a great expression for this one as she waited for the train at the station.

Thanks for looking.

Regards Richard

I can see the facial expressions almost as if she was being sent away for evacuation.

I grand capture.

The empty space adds to this I think as if she has no idea where she will end up. Which is what happened at the time.

Love the foot, the knitted doll in her bag and the way the milk churns dwarf her size

A fine candid, Richard. That foot is so beautifully expressive!
Only the modern spectacle frames give the game away, but I suppose the old-fashioned NHS-style frames are increasingly hard to find.

An excellent capture - her expression, the pose, and the clothing all combine so well - it does give a real feel of the evacuating child's worry.
