Late afternoon, and we came across a lioness and her three cubs, all peacefully asleep. -(Not in very good light unfortunately).

V1 is actually the final shot, after everybody was up and awake. V2 shows the first cub getting up, and he then went and snuggled up against his mother's belly. V3 is the second cub waking up, and in V4 he walks round to pester mum, stepping on the first cub in the process. V5 is the last cub waking up....and then we're back to V1!

Great set. That one little fella woke up the whole family. Like all five shots.

Aren't they adorable? We saw two lion cubs, again in poor light, but they are a delight to see.

What a lovely series Roger. Shame about the light, but an excellent portrayal of animal behaviour.
