Another one from saturdays early morning on Mam Tor. Martin kindly acted as my model (he didn't know it at first though)...I've put a variation where he tried to apply the brakes by the look of things and skidded Smile

I've also put another moodier version - so if you have the time...please let me know which you prefer

V1 mate all the way ... V3 is just a little too dark!!!

What were the little orange patches on the left before you cloned them?

Paul

cheers mark & paul for the feedback.

I was looking back at some old files from 2007/early 08 and realised I nearly always underexposed my shots as the histogram was way to the left - so I replicated it to see what it would look like if I'd had these conditions and taken it like I used to - glad to hear I'm now doing it right now Smile

just a bit of flare from the scratched 2 stopper, I tried to shield it with my hand but would have got it in the shot.

Love the vastness of this. As far as the eye can see. Love it. Like the man in it as well.

V3......

Cheers, Ian.

I suppose the what you like depends on the effect you are trying to achieve. I like V1 best, but I also like v3 as well. More natural V1, more mood V3!
Is that fence sitting enough for you!

I though I liked V3 best at first - I do tend to prefer darker, moodier - but when viewed large (both of them) I really did prefer the sense of light in V1. Really is a bit gorgeous - the snowy hill's not bad, either!

Beautiful light Richard, and well composed with interesting foreground, the path leading into the distance and the walker in the distance.

Think I prefer mod 3 Rich; but then I'm genreally drawn to higher contrast landscapes I think. Impartially, perhaps the gentler toning of V1 better compliments the subject matter. Still great either way of course.

Wish I'd got out here in the snow Sad
