Early October trip to Warwick castle, a cloudy day with showers but with sunny spells. Leaves just starting to turn, and the water meadows still a vibrant green.

Attractive and well composed image. Good framing with tree to right and top. Good sky.
Far too dark. Lots of dark areas with hidden detail.
I've done a quick mod which lightens the shadows and dark areas, clones out bit of fence at bottom (quick, rough job) and crops to remove bit of tree on left.
Not sure why its dark unless you intended that. Will probably be down to over exposure,. You don't have any camera speed etc data showing.

I've done a second mod with some sharpening. I believe this improves image also.. Ian
This has the makings of a good picture. Good framing and a nice sky. the problem is that if you create a frame to enhance the picture within it, that picture needs to be very good and also nneds to be your main viewing section. For that reason the viewability here is rather poor due to underexposure.
I have uploaded a mod where I too did the cloning and cropping rather quickly, but I have attemmpted to add some nice contrast and punch into the main thrust of your picture. I first adjusted colour curves then used Topaz adjust filter to give an increased overall effect.
You have not done as asked of you ie supplied EXIF so I am unable to help with that aspect of your upload
.

Ian's first mod looks good. I had a go using the shadows/highlights tool followed by a slight 'S' curve but I can't better it.
There's a 'hazy' patch right in the centre. Have you cloned it perhaps?
Bren.
