Another one where I'm not sure if the cropped v1 is better or not than the original landscape composition of v2. Your help will be much valued Thanks for looking.
hi Bruce, colors, comp and detail for me
For me, V1 has more impact and makes a better composition.
No1 for me has more impact and better composition.
Many thanks keith, tel*, Chris - it's really helpful to know how other folk feel about the different comps. Bruce
V 1 has more impact bruce, and more detail
I like V1 Bruce, lovely light tones detail and composition.
I like both, but the strange thing is, although I usually prefer the improved impact of a cropped image, I prefer V2 here, and it's probably because he is gazing so intently into the empty space and I feel that space is necessary.
This one of the series is my fave dodo...I really like your glance to the right, and the smoke pipe...great stuff!
Both good pictures, I think that vers.1 just takes it because of the greater impact of the closer view.
A super shot Bruce with the first being my choice. I have enjoyed looking through your latest uploads, unfortunately I dont have time at present to comment on them. Some great portraits there mate.
Interesting man a lot to think of
hi bruce prefer v2 tells more about the man - but otherwise excellent portrait.
Excellent candid shot, Bruce....Luv the tones and detail.
Sending ya Lots of Hugs,
Great shot. well captured. V2 for me.
I'm going to be really awkward here, I think there is a middle ground between V1 and V2. his stick is out the image on V1 and this is a vital part of him. Whereas in V2 there is not quite enough of his character that you show in V1 ..no answers really for this just my thoughts
nice series though indeed
Glad to be 30...Great shot!...for me v2...and if there were the hands in the frame it'll be a perfect one /sorry for my English/
Your English is fine Milena - thanks so much for stopping by and commenting Bruce
V1 for me really does have more of an impact and is a very good image. - gary
Many thanks Bernie, Pauline, Pamela, Kellie, Brian, Pete, George, ian, Suzan (thanks for the hugs ), Cheesy and Gary - I really do appreciate your helpful comments Bruce
Hiya Dianna - thanks for the helpful crit - I really think you've hit the nail on the head - I will see what I can do to include enough of the stick to add to the characterisation. Much appreciated. Bruce
Oh thanks, pleased it was of some help to you
It was indeed Dianna Bruce
