Another photograph from my working trip to Return to Freedom wild horse sanctuary in Lompoc CA.

These mares are all part of the Hart Mountain herd. The two mares on the right are watching over the resting heavily pregnant mum to be. She gave birth two days later (pictures of the filly to come). As you can see from the clear blue sky this was a very hot day so the herd had moved to the top of hill to get the cooling breeze. I have deliberately left a little overexposure of the back to create the atmosphere of heat.

V2 is a sepia version and V3 shows the terrain the horses live in.

Thanks for taking a look and as always all comments, clicks and critiques welcome. This is a very new domain so all constructive criticism, modifications especially welcome.

David

Well chosen viewpoint to set the trio against the sky, and of the first two I do prefer the original to the sepia version, David: also good to see V 3 with the horses captured in their natural terrain.
Ronnie.

Gosh. What harsh and hot terrain. Such beautiful horses, and I'm glad baby popped out OK. Gorgeous pictures.

Like your comp here and the underexposure work to give the feeling of heat.
V2 works best for me

V2 for me David. Must admit that's an excellent image showing the terrain in V3.
