A shot taken yesterday at the Falls of Bruar in Highland Perthshire.
I prefer water to look more natural and less milky usually, but somehow the longer exposure used has produced an effect which seems to suit here, I think.

My thanks to all who commented on Tulip so positively.......I had not dared to hope for such.

Ronnie.

I have to agree with you, Ronnie, I like to see 'natural' water, but this exposure has worked very well. Carol

The colour reflected in the pool and in the rocks sets this off combining with just the right exposure. - gary

Wonderful detail and superb tones on the rock face Ronnie,I think the longer exposure works very well here, just enough to give the impression of movement without going over the top,Beautifully done, Bill.

Agree that overblurring doesn't look quite right but some people seem to love it.
You've got a good compromise here.Lovely shot.
hope you had a lovely meal at house of Bruar.
We call in there every year on our way to Aviemore.

IMHO you have the shutter speed perfect, Ronnie. The falling water is nicely 'veiled' yet the fg water is still as clear as a bell.
This looks as if it is hidden away, not easy to spot?

This is beautifully lit, Ronnie, all too often we see very dark waterfall shots. Very nice composition and rock textures, too.

The long exposure really works with this Ronnie, also the rocks have a kind of smoothness to them near the water, a great image.

I also like water to look natural, but sometimes when I see shots like this, I quite like the effect - as I do in this one. Very nicely composed and good colours. Have Been to House of Bruar, but never the falls. Moira

The slow exposure works well here Ronnie, I'm a believer in water looking natural but your way here works very well indeed. A quiet wee corner you've found here.
