Neat composition. The tree is a fabulous shape but it needs the additional details for scale.
One minor point - I'm seeing 'stepping' along the edges of the tree-trunk, with a slight halo - that could be caused by over-enthusiastic sharpening.

An amusing scene, effectively composed.
I do like the black and white. But it is another possible cause of the 'halo' that Moira mentions.
