For those of you that don't know, I am a marketing manager, I work for a company called HPI. We run vehicle checks for both the trade and consumers. Enough of the sales pitch!
We run a house magazine which is produced on a quarterly basis. It was due to go to press however the director didn't like the image we had for one of his articles. It showed a 4x4 in very stormy conditions, but he wanted to see a small city diesel 'weathering the storm' of car values.
Any excuse to get the camera out, so I drove out to Salisbury Plain, I had in mind the lay by by Stonehenge where I could park up but have the car look like it was moving. However when I arrived, I was really struck by this little lane covered in puddles.
When I left the weather was terrible, however, when I arrived there was blue sky, so I had to tone the sky down for the final shot.
It looks great on the page.
I have included the before shot which has the sky as it actually appeared, the car also still has its badge which had to be taken off for publication.
