Seven years, 55,000 tonnes of steel, 18,122 cubic metres of granite, 8 million rivets to span 1.5 miles.

One from the journey home after the Pitlochry meet. Last year I could not even see it as the fog was so dense, slightly better conditions this time.

Thanks for looking and have a good weekend.

Neil

Yay, ya made it this time Smile

A fine structure it is and one you've done justice to mate - I did think most of the scaffolding would've been removed by now though. Enjoy your weekend.

A very nice shot of the Bridge from an excellent POV......your image has done it justice. The renovation work seems to have been going on for such a long time.

Thanks for your comments all.

I don't think I have seen it without scaffolding on one bit or another Paul. A shame, but hopefully it means it will be around for a few more generations.

I did not forget Roy, it is just I found differing views on the number and did not want to get it wrong. It was a lot and the number injured and maimed in some way is huge.

Great composition and exposure control. The colour really zings in this. Excellent.
