Such a cracking sunset on your first evening - what joy.
I think you have handled the exposure well as there is a hint of detail in the shadow areas and the highlights are well controlled. On my monitor (which isn't calibrated) the sea looks a little grey, and if you are seeing that as well then you may want to see if that can be lifted a bit.
Compositionally I think you have got just right. Horizon on the lower third, sun and bird on the right hand third.
Thanks for sharing - a very nice image indeed.
A mighty fine seascape/skyscape, peaceful, yet dramatic....I like the slight haze on the water & hills which adds depth, & the way the hills balance the suns ' position....finally there's just enough sparkle in the f/g water & dark tone in the beach to provide a firm base & add a sense of distance to the overall scene.....I wouldn't change a single pixel !...top notch !
I think the composition here's just about spot on and I particularly like the (probably accidental?) inclusion of the bird.
It looks a little grey on here too, not just the sea but overall so I've attempted a mod in which I've increased the vibrancy, increased the blue slightly and pushed the brightness and contrast a little.
It's lifted the shot but in so doing, it's taken away the "misty" quality of the original.
The jury's out!
Bren.
