A change from the EPZ meet photos - and back to Ardnamurchan over on the west coast of Scotland.
This croft was next to where were were staying when we went on holiday. There was nobody staying there the week that were were visiting so I decided to get some close up shots and try to capture some of the textures etc.... not sure if it works but I like it.

Nice composition Jeanie , something very different and it works well .
Dougie
Works for me Jeanie. Simple composition and well lit. Great effort.
Yup it's different and good for it!
Personally i'd like a bit more space above the window -- it'd balance out the green at the bottom -- but it is still a nice shot.
Fabulous composition, tones and texture on the wall.Lovely.
Tom.
conjures up some great seaside feelings this one.A lovely, natural image that somehow manages to capture the scent of the sea and the sound of tinkling boat bells.Gorgeous ![]()
(I think I'd loose the lamp though![]()

Thanks everyone - never expected that this would be so popular..
LOL, Keith and Angie you are right about the lamp! I am too honest aren't I - Must consider cloning stuff like that out. Well done David (dven) for the mod - works perfectly! Kev (debakey) I am worried about you, hee hee!
Jeanie
Yes you've caught the textures very well. Congrats on the HC.
Nick
Accentuated the wall texture by D&B - it was a little subtle for me since I'm a bloke - converted to B&W with a green filter to keep the grass the same tone and uploaded the modified version after you went offline so you couldn't shout at me 'cos I left the 2 little white lines dark.
I left the lamp in on purpose.
The 3 'things' in the window give you a triangular area which rests easier with the eye as you explore it in a circular motion rather than 2 points of interest which cause the eye to rattle back and forth.
