Took this yesterday in the garden of Sam, having a wonderful time! The look on his face of pure innocence and enjoyment just blew me away....
This is what life is all about.....
Hope you like it....
beauty of a portrait but the toning kills it for me, why do you not like it in colour?
clik for the portrait aspect anyway
Great portrait.... starting them young over there, aren't you? LOL
Well composed and good effect.
Could we see the colour one? Love the tilt of his his hat .
Thanks for your comments . the colour version just didn't seem the same for me. Too much background colour which was quite distracting, but if you like i will put it on tomorrow and see what you prefer
what a cheeky little grin, lovely made me smile, would be nice to have a look at the colour version then I can make my mind up : )) well taken.
OK Clever-Cloggs woman, this just is not fair, you probably have THE best model ever... That face is just so adorable, I bet he's a right cheeky little chappy and the worst thing is that it should have far more attention, and not just for the obvious appeal. The composition just could not be any better, the placement of the the football is bang-on-the-money, the turned up hat is a stroke of pure genius, especially with that expression and the toning is just excellent because for me if this was in colour it would have been far too busy, as I know what those flowers look like, so sorry Stu your way off beam on this.
If I was you Wenz, I'd check out some printing labs and get this blown up and stick it straight on your wall, or better still on the ceiling of your ambulance, it would save the NHS thousands of pounds as people would feel instantley better. For me this and his birthday photo are my favourite ones of yours, and I love your flower shots, but this is just pure class.
EDIT: see I knew the colour one wouldn't work as well, I was still typing this when you posted that...
What a face to make anyone smile.
Wendy a true cutie and love the sepia tone given!
Lovely portrait Wendy and well captured. I love the upturned hat and the ball adds a good contrast. Well done. CLIK.
Lovely portrait. The toning works for me.
He radiates happiness here
This one has blown me away. This is your best yet.I think making this B/W is just the right thing to do and freezes a moment in time.I would take a look at pics of his grandfather and compare them and i bet they look alike.
Very well done on this one.
And a big kiss from me and the wife for Sam xx
this reminds me of a portrait back in the 30's.
great job..love the sepia effect.
Wendy..This is the most natural portrait I have seen in a long time. Wonderful work.
Wonderful image, love it in sepia.
Wonderful shot, I'm sure you'll treasure these moments. My youngest is now 2 weeks away from 18... only seems like yesterday.
Now i'm not biased, even if this is my little boy...but why are there not over 30 votes yet??!!!
I'm so thrilled with this shot.....
I'd have been chuffed with this shot as well Wendy, that's a great expression. Don't know what software you're using, but perhaps a little selective colouring or a border or something might have lifted the clicks a little, but the shot is wonderful anyway.
What a gem another good one great to come home to a smile like that eh.
Our two are 24 and 23 now but at least they can buy me a pint(usually with my money lol)
sepia tone is just perfect for this image, great crop too
Great tones, perfect composition and what a wee model. Great capture Wendy.
