As soon as my wife drew back the bedroom curtains, I thought to myself that today was going to be a new start after such a terrible couple of days. I knew exactly which image would be most suitable, it was captured not long after suffering my second bleed, and is often a source of hope, and a reminder, that each day is a new beginning. I just hope that this rather bright morning leads on to better times ahead.
Before I go I would like to thank you all at EPZ for your most comforting and kind words since joining EPZ, but even more so over the rather difficult times that I have had to go through lately. I know that I am not alone, there is always around to and above listen to without providing sympathy, but just a little comforting understanding.
Thanks to you all.
Highest regards Nathan

'When I wake up in the morning light' - lyrics to an old Bill withers song - Lovely Day. Hope you have one today, you deserve it. I wholeheartedly agree with John's comment, many of us care about the person, who becomes the new friend to us. Have a good one

Very well suited to echo the sadness, and hope, of your words.
Green, vibrant light filtering in through the haze. This says so much.
Plus it's beautifully composed and exposed.
You're in a good place here. Take care,
Moira
A simple image that stirs a wealth of emotions.
Wordsworth had no camera but expressed the same thought in words:
To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.
You are quite right, Nathan: we do stick up for each other.
Regards
Bill

Remind me so much of April.... Great you coul see beauty in it! Well presented!
good narrative here Nathan and with the capture of the window of hope the sentiment is complete

We cannot see through the window in your picture as we cannot see what lies ahead for any of us, but as you say we are not alone, and perhaps we can take comfort from that.
I share the sentiments expressed by your many friends on EPZ and wish you well.
Regards
Ray
A wonderful picture. There is a lot of feeling coming from such a simple scene.
But I am certain you are expressing yourself with this one. A good lesson is
learnt from this its not just a good scene you should try for but a one which
has expression also. Well done. WesternRed.
This kind of shot is hard to do Nathan because everything needs to be perfect when the composition is so minimalist. You've managed it though, the exposure, the sharpness and the vibrant colours are superb along with the slight melancholy of the rain on the window. Not to mention your subtext. Sorry to hear life's been tough lately, I hope things pick up and producing your great images give you another drive to keep you soldiering on! ![]()
