Choices / Decisions.
Keep to the left, take the path the right or back up the path behind me ?

Well I took the the path behind me, a short uphill section then mainly downhill for the 40 minute walk back to the car park.

Late evening light I wanted to just catch some of the heat haze in the background and the curve of this hill at Devil's Dyke.

Thought about cropping by the left hand fence post but decided to leave the space to it's left to indicate the hill continuing downwards.

The highest point in Sussex, I believe?

I haven't taken it on for years but I can well remember that it's quite some climb to the top of there.

I am not sure about that, Beachy Head down near Eastbourne is quite high as well.

And yes, the direct route up from Poynings is quite steep and for an unfit person like myself a bit of a struggle, especially with backpack & tripod.

One of those things that you remember (incorrectly!) from your childhood apparently!
