Eventually we had to pack up but we will return another day to finish photographing these beautiful birds

V1 then V3 for me...
I do like the rain and detail in the birds..
May be your photoshop skills are low but have a look at the staps on the bird.
Can you clone them out?
They do distract...
I like the detail in the face of the barn owl...
Have a look at some of my new photos...
I found a site that takes the staps off the birds when flying them...
This I think help to improve the bird.

Three excellent captures. It might be worth trying a tighter crop on V1 to remove the tops of the fences below the owl.
