This is Magic the Barn Owl a great performer fromImperial Birds of Prey Academy As you can see it is raining quite heavily but this great little bird continued to fly for us. Eventually we had to pack up but we will return another day to finish photographing these beautiful birds

V1 then V3 for me...
I do like the rain and detail in the birds..
May be your photoshop skills are low but have a look at the staps on the bird.
Can you clone them out?
They do distract...
I like the detail in the face of the barn owl...
Have a look at some of my new photos...
I found a site that takes the staps off the birds when flying them...
This I think help to improve the bird.
Well taken looking forward to your new images...

Dave

Love the title SusanWink and your determination to capture in such weather. Barn Owls generally rest up in rain, but your image certainly shows the struggle agianst the elements.
Ron.

Excellent trio of images especially with the rain coming down!!

Good capture of a hard subject. The weather looks dreadful but adds to the photo. Vicky

Three excellent captures. It might be worth trying a tighter crop on V1 to remove the tops of the fences below the owl.
