But love to try photographing anything of beauty!

My way of giving back ..is to take a group from U3A out
for a session to ''play'' around with our cameras and hopefully give them
any tips I have while enjoying ourselves

This was taken at Winkworth Arboritum during a fantastic show of azaleas and bluebells
Bob also joined us for the day..hope you had a good birthday yesterday Bob!

V2 the original as have put a soft filter on this

Thanks Ronnie and Moira for your User Awards on my Axis Deer yesterday

This is a gorgeous image Lillian and I do like the dreamy quality the soft filter gives to v1 - it looks like a beautiful place to visit. Have a great day.

I also prefer the filtered image.

However, the dreamy effect you seek has, to my eye, been at the expense of the image as a whole. Have you considered gradating the blur as the eye travels into the picture - just to get a 3-D effect?

The mod I have posted gives an idea of what I mean. Created a layer with quite a heavy blur. Created a mask and painted out the blur starting at 75% opacity of the paintbrush for the foreground, gradating the opacity as the eye travelled further into the frame.

I remember being there in 2006 about this time of the year.....such a beautiful place, and you have captured the essence of it's beauty so well in this balanced shot, Lillian: like both interpretations equally.

An absolutely beautiful image - my preference is for the original in V2
simply for the vibrancy of the colour although the effect created with the filter is
lovely too.
