...are the best.
I know, I know, The Hand!
I was gutted, this was my favourite shot timing and exposure wise and his hand covers his face.
I thought I'd upload anyway though, instead of something that has a lot more exposure etc wise wrong with it.
Comments appreciated, thanks!

Normally I'd not like a shot like this, but there's something with the harsh light that just really works well with this, and the big shadow really makes it.
Nice one!
;o)
Not sure if seeing the face is so important here, it's just a convention!
The skaters' chin denotes the force of concentration on completing the trick and there are so many other things that help complete the composition: Feet and shins at 90-degrees echo the buildings' lines, skateboard a reflection of the angle of the ramp, height and shadows adding power and impact to a fine action shot.
Phew! Nice.
nice. would be cool if all u got in the frame was the shadow on the wall. sweet lighting though, timing as always, good. good stuff mate.
Thanks all!
Of course it's noisy! I own a fuji ![]()
Why did you delete all your shots Dan?
And oh my god, Gooch put together a long and well thought out comment.
you knows it.
this is proper nice,
noisey but good.
the shadow adds a wicked touch to this.
more of these bayyyyyyyyyy
owt bad.
Could do with seeing the face and whats going on in the botom left? If it's your wide angle jobbie, would of looked more even if it was in all corners but ya cudda cloned it out beyyy.
Shame you've been down to noise city again.
Please tell me that wasn't 100 iso.
Otherwise the timing and lighting is pretty spot on.
Have you ever seen this guys work, have a look, his skate photos are from a different planet.

They're good, very good!
Still prefer French Fred and Christoph Maderer though.
It was 100 but it was brightened a LOT as I wanted to make that shadow a lot more prominent, that's where the noise is coming from.
Nice although cant help but think you could have made something better from this oppertunity.
iv not come across those guys before.
they have some damn nice stuff.
and french fred's take on angles in the skate photography feild are amazing.
i saw some shots verging on a goochfilter![]()
like the lighting, and angle is spot on. Timing would be best if you get the back foot catch, but i cant exactly say its a bad photo.

cracking shot, i think seeing the face would of detracted from the rest of the shot this to me is a good shot and worthy of more attention
like this alot
well caught
Eric
Great capture, the cold white balance really adds to the wintry feel. Take it easy
