Robert Louis Stevenson said regarding Rannoch Moor in his novel Kidnapped ' A wearier looking desert a man never saw' I took this shot on a crisp winter day, the scene was breathtaking.

For the first time since we introduced Pic of the Week, I couldn't decide which I liked best from three photos, so I choose the one with the most hearts. At 116 this stunning landscape was way ahead of the rest. So, by popular demand, here's this week's POTW.
That is an awesome landscape. Congratulations on the EC. Click
What can I say I am overwhelmed, thanks everyone for your comments and clicks

Louise, I have been admittedly curmudgeonly regarding this image. When it was first posted, and the EC assigned, I was thinking "it's very good, but is it really EC material?". There's been some debates raging in the forums lately re: EC's, and it prompted me to look at this shot again. I then imagined it hanging on the wall (you lucky so an so) and it finally clicked for me. It is a fine, fine shot, beautifully lit, and a well deserved EC. I can only put my initial reservations down to Rannochitis and EC envy!
Pete
wow!!! This is awesomely beautiful!
When would it be like that again? My parents are coming over to London in the first two weeks of Dec...wondering whether we should make a trip up to Scotland or to Wales, and whenever i see your shots, "Scotland" screams out to me in my mind! =)
Shame on me, Louise.
I missed this Wonderful Landscape for a week now. (was to quick looking for a new upload)
Congratulation with the EC award.!
