I've been producing some new prints for hanging at home and this one made it onto my wall.

The original RAW file didn't look too promising but after processing I fell in love with the quality of light. I hope you enjoy it too.

Taken earlier this month on a cold frosty morning

Camera:Canon EOS 350D
Lens:canon 70-300 IS USM @ 80mm
Recording media:ISO 400 for 1/200th sec with f5.6

Thank you all for your positive reactions - seems I'm not the only captured by the light Smile

This was my first proper use of "Photomatic Pro" (in "psuedo HDR mode" as it was only a single RAW image). It recovered an image that I was close to chucking out in frustration - so more thanks go to those who ran the threads on HDR recently and introduced me to the concept and software

Glad you kept it! I'll re-think my own policy of ditching unpromising RAWs to save disk space.

Thanks again, its been a long time since I had a reaction like this to one of my images.

John - I recommend you do keep them, some of my most successful images, here, in competitions and in sales were originally on my "possible reject" pile.

Just spotted this shot.
Saw it large and the light is so intense on the bracken it almost looks on fire ,and with the light rays on the right side trees looking like smoke that completes the illusion.
