Shot this while traveling through the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. I set my Nikon D80 on the dash and used shutter priority around 2-3 seconds.

Welcome to EPZ Greg and thanks for the upload.
It's certainly a different shot to get your portfolio off to a good start. It definitely gives a strong feeling of speed. The colours are quite subdued - greens and browns - so the yellow line is important in providing a splash of a different colour. The sky is disappointing though. It looks like there is a large hole in the picture. Perhaps also a small crop off the bottom to exclude the dashboard.
But good work and look forward to seeing more.
Regards
Catherine
Hi Greg and welcome,
I like the image and the colours, but I'm afraid I have to agree with Cath about the sky which allows the viewers attention to slip out of the top of the image, and the dash which is just a distracting annoyance.
I've posted a mod, really just by way of illustration, where I have cropped away the dash and added a sky. I didn't have a suitable 'real' sky to hand, so I've made one using photoshop's Render Clouds tool and stretched it for perspective with Image > Transform > Skew. It's not especially pretty, but it illustrated how our attention is now held in to the image rather than wandering out of the top. Oh, and I used a curves adjustment to darken the mid-tones in the rocks and trees a little.
