Lovely view down the canal to the hills beyond, John. The lighting on the houses brings out a lovely warm colour and the snow raises the light in the shadow areas. Very nicely done.

I thought I recognised the scene and found the previous version on Page 5 of your portfolio as "Summer in Farnhill", and looking so different of course to this winter version. I do like the colours of winter.......they seem to convey so much more character than the greens of summer, John.
A very attractive composition again from the scenic spot on the canal.

Especially nice light gracing the buildings in this finr image, would one skate on the waterway?

That centre section is glorious and personally I'd be tempted to make the most of that if this were mine by giving it a panoramic crop with the bottom edge being where the bottom of the left hands wall is. Lovely capture !
