Wire we here was an idea from LynneJoce and GarrathE. With help from Gajewski (SimonFletch) and (Irishkate) and (Chiliman) . Title by Walter.
I am an electrical engineer and a motor mechanic. So of course I have wiring in my genes Smile Wires also serve to keep cattle in, to line starlings up singing 'birds on a wire' , as a scale model for a hummingbird and to enhance French 'landscape' and architecture. Mr Nadau's wire mesh fence serves to generate rust for Mick B.
Last but not least, some wind generators as they seem to upset some purists as much as wires Smile
PS Yes, I was thinking of Leonard Cohen Smile

You got it right about the damn wind generators, Annette, I'm well "wired up" now..!!
A cracking good set to celebrate wires in photography.
Especially since you have thrown in a couple of BBJ's for good value..!

I don't mind the wind generators but they are to my mind not the answer and over hyped ...now wires being electrical myself I understand there requirement however my favourite bird on a wire is this one https://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=&oq=jennifer+warne...

V1 wins hands down Annette

A wonderful set, Annette, with V.1 being my favourite, though I don't normally like to see birds perched on barbed wire. Carol

WOW -- what a series, Annette. I love them all and, as mentioned by rontear, it is a very diverse group of images.
My favorite is V1. I absolutely love it. Second favorite is difficult to pick out but I will have to give the edge to V11.

A fantastic set of quality images Annette, we certainly didn't get our wires crossed for this joint effort did we? The contributions are so diverse and such fun. It is hard to choose favourites here but there are some features that I particularly like, like the wires as lead-ins in V's 2, 4, 5 & 6, and the wires as bird perches in V's 1, 3, 11 & 14. There's enough grot to keep Mikbee and lovers of the prosaic like me happy for a long time too. Well done you.

Annette,
I just had to return to your portfolio after looking at a lot of images today -- and not just the "Wire We Here" images. I had to return to give V1 a much deserved user award.
This is a beautiful image -- and I know these hummers don't stand around posing forever. Nicely done.

What a fantastic set, Annette! 2, 4, 5, 6 and 13 are quite the stunners. V11 is so cute - it looks like that vine is going to tickle the bird on its head Grin

Well done on the timing and pose in V1, by the way!

You've certainly risen to the challenge Annette with a fantastic mix of 'wire 'images.
V2, 6 and 13 make lovely landscapes. I've got a similar image to your V14 long past forgotten about.
Very well done with all of these.
