I do, cos then I wouldn't have to keep posting daft pictures of myself & my brothers.

My homage to a classic album cover. Google it*, if you don't know what I'm refering to.

All shot using local locations & "models". No idiots were hurt in the making of this shot.

(* That's Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here, for those too young to remember).

Well you were never going to ruin a best suit by setting fire to it for real, were you!
I'm old enough to recognise the reference. The fire isn't totally convincing (maybe add some blur to simulate heat haze?), but the combination of the figures is great, looking at the handshake I can see the join but only just!
I see lots of scope for more Classic Nomates Album Covers - Abbey Road for one...

This is fantastic Dave, my favourite of the no mates so far, I am of course old enough to remember the album, and it is my favourite Floyd album. I recognised this straight away from the thumbnail, nice one.

Best Matt

written off as just a contract filler when released ,following the dark side success, later recognised as possibly the best floyd album.Very well worked and a good tribute as we will never see the band live again, complete.

The Edinburgh Empire during the 70s,I saw Pink Floyd play Davey.
I swear my ears are still ringing to this day. They were in the Guinness Book of Records as the loudest live band.Dunno if they still hold that record !!
Good work.
Mick.

Thanks all for your kind comments, and especially to Matt for his award.

Moira - the flames are about how they appear in the original. Admittedly, they did it with film & a darkroom, as PS & digital probably hadn't even been thought of yet.

Looks to me as though the chap on the right was a bit scared of the bloke on the left!

Clever work.

Great shot and write up..........Martin

This is an excellent attempt at a classic Pink Floyd album cover. Even without seeing the title I knew where the inspiration had come from. I would be tempted to add more flames than you have already, to make the image more dramatic, and to match the original.

It really is a great image and deserves to go into the WAPS Annual Exhibition, let's hope the judge is a Floyd fan!
