Just trying to achieve a good photo working on composition, colour casts and anything that needs to be improved really

Sarah,
Just a couple of points for me;
The 1st and most noticeable is the crop at the top, should have tried to keep the point.
2nd at this is just a personal thing, its a little too busy, your model looks confident and happy to pose, and the railings leading to the church have great perpective, but with both in the picture, I cant decide on where I should be looking.
I know you cant change the layout of a location, if this didnt have the fence it would be great with point 1 sorted too 
Look forward to seeing more of your work.
Some good advice above but I still think this is a very nice image, a good first upload and look forward to more, one piece of advice take criticism like that in the last comment as it is intended and that is to be helpful and not to offend I have learned more on this site by having my mistakes pointed out - gary
Welcome to EPZ Sarah.
The image is way too small, - this is only 275 x 367 pixels, so try sizing it to the correct size, 0 which is 600 pixels at the longest side and upload again. You can do this by uploading a modification to this image if you like. We can get a better look at the shot for critique as it seems quite nice.

I did this but the the file size was too big what should i do??

Sarah, - how are you re sizing your image, 0 what software do you use?
If its Photoshop, - use image size to get the pixels correct, - then "save as" using a new file name, - them you will get a dialogue box showing a slider, - the further you move it left, - the smaller the file size, - it will show the actual file size in the dialogue box. When you have it at 80K or so, save it. It may need to be sharpened a little after you do this.

May I take this opportunity to welcome to the wonderful world of ePHOTOzine or EPZ for short, Probably the best photographic website in erm England!
Not a bad first upload at all, your model looks happy and relaxed, which is important but the background is not that great, once you have found your model (the hardest part) you really need to concentrate on that background. It needs to be unobtrusive and not distracting or at least compliment the model. Blurring the background may help in this case or even a tight crop just above the head. The background has a drainpipe and half a window in it, not ideal at all.
