The title is taken from the nursery rhyme "London Bridge is Falling Down.."
Wood and clay will wash away,
Wash away, wash away,
Wood and clay will wash away,
My fair lady.
On Remembrance Day 2004, various London bridges were furnished with red lighting as part of a night-time flight along the river by wartime aircraft. London Bridge was the one bridge not subsequently stripped of the illuminations. The lighting has recently been changed as part of the Jubilee/Olympic celebrations.
Iso 400, f11, 0.5s, 10mm, tripod and remote release.
Many thanks to all the support for my first moth upload - but give me a bridge anyday... you don't have to chase them down!!!

Excellent low light image Dave, super composition,
Fred.
I agree with you about things that stay still
and of course I will be repeating that ditty all day ....![]()
This has the texture I like. With not so much exposer.
The composition box has a big tick in it.
Well done. WesternRed.
A well chosen viewpoint to capture this scene looking towards the Shard from across the river.
With it being so tall, any viewpoint to capture it vertically like this must be from a considerable distance away.
Very well composed too, Dave, with the illuminated f/g lead in lines pointing towards the structures around the foot of the tower.
Ronnie.
Fantastic low light image, great pov and composition, I like this a lot.

Lets hope the Shard is not built on wood and clay Dave, any one know when the viewing area is open to the public? excellent composed and exposed capture, the blue orange and red blend together very well. you have exposed the shadow area just right also.
Regards
Trev.
Dave, a stunning picture. Excellent colors, pov, dof and composition. Deep

Dave, stunning and fantastic colour and detail as always should cover it.........like it when you do this type of shot, you always seem to get it just right.......
Paul.
With you there on the choice between bridge and moth, Dave.
Are you a bat...only come out after dark? Or a moth attracted by all the lights?
Another very fine image from this series, Dave, all of which have been top quality.
Malc
fantastic colours... London looks so good in your pictures.
Love that mix of blue and red light on the bridge Dave. Inspiring me to have another trip down to the QEII at Dartford. If you fancy an evening over there drop me a PM.
