One of the many gates at Carisbrooke castle, that I thought had some rather nice rust etc, and would make a nice contribution to RAS. Also as I have been concentrating on portraits lately I thought it about time I renewed my membership to RAS Smile

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated, a special thank you to Robin (graceland) for her much valued and appreciated UA on my image yesterday

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugh

Faces galore...
Nice combination, all three elements are important. It often strikes me how different materials, exposed together to the elements over a long period of time, assume the same tones.

Well 'waited for' lighting to emphasise the texture of the wood.

Nice study of textures, tones and shapes, Hugh: the rust staining of the old timbers adds so much.
