Well I had to do the blokes' shoes didn't I ? Wink
Taken in my garage,a nice lump of old sacking behind a load of rusty stuff I got from my Dad or bought from a car boot sale for a few pence.

Not enough light in the right places to just use daylight so I propped my small lightbox up to the left of the frame.I do like the contrasts it created.
3 frames combined in Photomatix, finished with a couple of tweaks in Photoshop.
Clours are as were, not sure it needs a bit of desaturation or not...jury is out on that score, seems a shame to reduce the colour that was there at the time.

Thanks for taking the time to look/comment.
Janet xx

Perfect lighting, Janet, a fine still life image. Carol

Like the details but for me there is a little too much light on the back ground on the rhs.
Might be worth a look at one with less
Regards Richard

Thanks everyone.
I see what you mean Richard & I have tried to tone that down a touch, trouble is that the lump of wood just disappears into the bg when I do Sad

Love the whole set up.I too have some sackcloth for still life images.
It works a treat here with all the component parts.
I don't mind the brighter areas and I do like the open tape measure.

I love it all except the tape measure, it is too modern in relation to the plane at least, very nice study though

Thanks all.
Hi Ian,thanks for your comment. The boots are pretty modern too but I need to get my Dad's old tape measure, which has a nice leather casing.

Like it Janet, I'd try a b&W version, allthose textures would come out a treat, and you could address the bright area Richard mentions, without losing the wood Wink
