A blast from the past.....sadly....
Remember Pic 'n Mix, Embassy Records, the Stationery Counter and the way light bulbs were tested?
Taken in Kehl, a town in southwestern Germany in April 2011; it is located on the River Rhine, directly opposite the French city of Strasbourg.
Many appreciative thanks for all views, votes and comments on my 'Strasbourg' upload!Smile
Apologies for only voting today.
Have a good weekend.

I like the perspective you have chosen for this shot. I think I am correct in saying that the Woollis stores carried the advert as the 3 pence and Six pence store.

I like this on two levels, one is the angle and the clarity of the shot, the other is I had a Saturday job in my local Woolworths when I was at college.

I remember buying those pick and mix sweets as a kid and records from there but never knew that Woollies existed in Germany! C&A are another blast from the past, you can still find them in Europe but they disappeared off the British high street around ten years ago
