Just been playing with some old images as I've been stuck at home for nearly two weeks with a wrecked ankle, no new images Hope to get out this weekend, that's if it ever stops raining!
This one's from the Edinburgh Festival
Thank you as always for your time, your thoughts/comments are very welcome.
Regards - Sarah J x
Superb image! I wonder what it would look like with building on the left cropped out just to concentrate the eye onto the ball? Awesome shot though!
Interesting what one comes across at that Festival, Sarah: I rather like the selective toning applied in V 1.
Sorry to hear about your problem.......I can empathise with you having had back pain for many weeks now. Take care.
Excellent shots Sarah. Nice use of mono
Hi Sarah J, a great capture, but I prefer the cooler tones of V1
The selective toning works very well, Sarah, like it.
The figure in V1, and particularly the reflection in the ball, seem to have more substance and depth. Beautiful image, perfectly composed and taken.
V1 is very subtle indeed. While I tend to use toning not dissimilar to your V2 I reckon V1 is even better.
I was sorry to hear about your ankle - hope the recovery isn't too extended.
Get well soon Sarah, sure you have some stunners in the locker
like the comp and subtle tones. hope your ankle is on the mend, but take it easy. lesley
great love the fisheye globe
Good morning and many thanks for your kind comments, appreciated!
Franko59, yes I agree about the crop/ball etc. I do have a couple that focus more on the ball but you'll have to go back quite a few pages in my PF to find them
Great shot Sarah find myself inspecting the reflections in the ball, very intruiging.
Hope the ankle is better soon.
Thank you Darren
Love the reflection in the ball. Excellent composed shot.............Sandy
Some of these living statues go to great lengths with their costumes but Iv'e never seen one off duty.
I wonder where they get changed ?
Bad luck re the ankle. I have a stinking cold so not much happier
C l i v e
Like both version Sarah hope you get mobile soon as someone who managed to break is ankle in two places and then managed to break a leg in four places I know it's not mich fun
Thank you gentlemen
Clive that's so true, I haven't either! Get better soon!
Brian - OUCH!!
Oh dear, sorry to hear you a bad ankle, Sarah A super composition and capture here, and think V1 with a subtle bit of colour is my fave
nice one Sarah, like the mono feel
Love the processing on V1 Sarah, a very good view point too.
So sorry to hear you have a dodgy Ankle, and I hope it mends very soon.
V1 . So well spotted and taken.
Many thanks for your time and kind comments, always appreciated!
I Hope ankle gets better soon Sarah, I prefer v1 this time.
have a good weekend
Great POV and DOF and excellent results!
Superb , V1 is outstanding with colour tones and comp ,love it
Sorry to read of your ankle Sarah, and hope you make a full recovery. I like her expression, and the detail in the reflection.
I prefer v1 with the blue tint as it adds some "blue" effect to the reflection of the sky in the globe.
Both very good indeed Sarah, think I prefer V1 on this occasion, hope the ankle mends soon,
The subtle hues of V1 just about wins the day, Sarah, but that said v2 is no worse.
I once saw a human statue in Barcelona (where there are dozens) having a smoke break sitting on the box that was his pedestal. A little girl going past said in a very indignant tone for her age, "Mummy, he's no good I can see him moving!"
Hope your ankle let you get out nad about this weekend.
V1 has that bit more I think. Paul
