I believe they are from Lugworms.

My last shot of the day on the recent epz members' meet down at Climping in lowish light levels around sunset.

I got this far with the processing, changed the temperature so that the sand looked the "sandy" colour I thought it should be but then decided I liked it as it was.

Perhaps a bit too blue for a true image but this is Jeff getting creative Wink

That blue make the sand look like ice! So gives it a whole different feel.
Unfortunately I can't help thinking the worm casts must be polar bear droppings. (Sorry Wink)
