Good morning All,
My thanks to Sooty_1, Woolybill1 and Jestertheclown for correctly identifying the flying machine in WW I Pilot. My thanks also to all those who contibuted modifications, advice, thoughts and tips or just dropped by for a look.
To day's upload is my restoration efforts on WW I Pilot. I have removed specks, adjusted curves - toning down the rhs, lightening the lhs and slightly increasing the contrast - sharpened and tidied up the boarder. Lastly I reduced the saturation rather than convert to black and white as I wanted to keep "the look". It is interesting that not one of the pictures in the collection is actually b+w.
It is interesting to note that, since I started the members' group a week ago, it has aquired a total of 3 members and the 5 pictures that have been posted have attracted a total of 12 unique views and no comments, tips or advice. By comparison the 3 pictures I have posted have attracted 128 unique views and 33 comments, tips or advice. In addition the one picture that I have allowed modifications to has had 4 different approaches posted. Consequently I am of the opinion that it would be better to work on the epz Team to add a catagory for historic photographs. I am sure that interest and discussion stimulated would be much greater that way than through Members' Groups. Perhaps they could be developed in conjunction with each other, but at the moment I'm not convinced.
Your thoughts please.
Thanks and regards,
James

I like what you've done, and it seems to me to be faithful to the character of the age.
