A record shot of Dunster Yarn Market, which is situated in High Street.

Mrs t was in her element popping in and out of the little shops which all had different bits n bobs to buy. I thought How am I going to photograph this….its a Car Park! The Yarn Market is one of Dunsters Jewels in the crown and they surround it with tarmac and daub KEEP CLEAR on the surface.
So my image has a little cleaning up applied.

V2 looking out in to Car Park oops sorry Grin I mean High Street, from inside the Yarn Market.

I am very grateful for all the votes and comments for “Dunster Dovecote II”.

David

A favourite spot of mine ( I lived very near to Dunster a few years ago) and I've never managed a shot without any cars in! I think they should ban cars altogether from the area around the Yarn Market! Anyway lovely image David Smile

Two fine images, David; I love these old market buildings from times past: I'm sure this street has featured in one of David Suchet's Poirot films.......next time Mrs. RonnieAG has it on I must take a closer look.
Ronnie.

Both shots are are good (bring back many happy memories of the area - especially Winsford just down the road) V2 is much more interesting tho.

Excellent work once again, David. I reckon you have managed V2 particularly well, bringing in both perspective and scale that are logically not evident in V1: in its own way it tells us more.
Regards
Bill

I must admit to reading the title as 'Yarm Market' which had me baffled for a mo'. Must be my age Wink

My favourite West Country village, David, had I not retired to Crete, then Dunster would have been my choice. I think you have captured these two images very well indeed, and thank you for bringing back many happy memories of Dunster and the castle. Carol

A wonderful building this, and nice to see a shot taken from inside the Yarn Market, too Smile Dunster's a beautiful place, but it's such a shame about all the parked cars you see there...and the yellow lines and other road markings Sad Ronnie is correct, this street has been featured in and episode of Poirot Smile

The local council should take a leaf out of Aberdeen's book. No parking at all in the old town, but no yellow paint anywhere on the roads, just signs at the roadside on the way in.
Excellent photography, btw.

no 2 for me - the dotted line to the castle in the old beam 'frame' is perfect.
