...I was intrigued by the yellow tinge that appeared as I cropped into the flower.
There's noise here as well.

Very subtle, creamy whites.
And I love images that go into the heart of the flower, no context, no distractions.

I presume the yellow is residual from the centuries of cross-cultivation, Dougie, I have noticed it before and in truth rather like it. I don't remember it showing up in monochrome rose photographs - filtered out, perhaps?
This kind of noise doesn't disturb me in the slightest; the compulsory caterwauling in the Co-Op (etc) on the other hand drives me mad; I walked out of M&S last week-end Sad
Regards
Bill

P.S: I think it was a copper nail, so the colour is verdigris or copper oxide.

A rose by any other name....

Good stuff Dougie with no distractions. Would the image make me want to buy that breed of rose...yes certainly therefore it serves its purpose well.

A fine close-up inspection of the heart of this very pretty creamy white rose, Dougie: the water droplets again adding that wee bit of a sparkle.
Ronnie.

A truely beautiful shot. The simlpicity of the muted colour and the raindrop is superb. I for one did'nt notice the noise, it is not an issue for me. Well done.
Regards Paul.

I like the fact you have left the noise in this image Dougie, sometimes we tend to over process our images with all of the software we now have, the beautiful subtle tones with the hint of yellow and the natural water droplets add to this very fine image, very well done and presented my friend, Hope you are well, Bill.

Such beautiful tones - sometimes we don't even see them in reality - it needs a good photographer to get these seen!
