Derelict East Wharf, Hull Roads, Alexandra Dock, Kingston upon Hull.

A reversal of roles here with nature creating art out of a derelict man-made structure.

Apologies for the title! Everyone of a certain age will now have a well known song from the early 1970s going round and round in their heads – but can you remember who sang it?

Best wishes,
Philip

Was it not Tony Christie?

Tomorrow night you'll find me
Sleeping underneath the moon at yellow river

'Abstract in yellow' - most effective Philip.

Love this image, would have it on my wall, everything about it pleases my eye (well both eyes actually). Yellow River, written, recorded and released by Jeff Christie, although first offered to and recorded by the Tremeloes but not released by them until their Best Of....album

I nearly thought of asking that as question too!

Thank you for your kind and amusing comment, Lilian and welcome to EPZ.

Unusual colouring. It goes well with the natural wood colour of the old wharf.Smile Smile Smile

I like to imagine the boats that tied up here once, long gone. Lovely image well done!

Like the look of this... strongly graphic... with some nice detail ie the nails. Unusual tonality but seems to fit. Good follow on to 'Toxic'

Well spotted image.. the colour is nice.. Strangely, I'd heard of this song sometime ago.. Because I'm foreign, I didn't quite get into the lyric, but I remembered the tone... When I heard "Yellow river" , it was always the second longest river in China came into my mind...but only now, .. the song's title...um.. How interesting..Smile
